I have a somewhat prying question, for which I apologize, but I don't know any other dragons well enough to discuss it. I would rather not ask Oryou anything sensitive.

Do normal dragons have a mating season?

Not to my recollection.

Fells dragons mate to reproduce, but they don't require a heat to trigger that impulse. Divine Dragons mate for love. Connection.

We live far too long to be driven by biological urges. It makes little sense to us.

That does make sense, when you put it that way. I suppose an unusually high percentage of my friends are species prone to such things.

Short living species would be more susceptible to the impulse, I suppose.

Draken are, I think, closer to human lifespans than that of true dragons. I myself am only twenty-seven mentally.

Not precisely. Rather, Draken are the creation of a dream, as am I. The details of our reproduction were not important enough to be decided upon.

Not important in and of itself. But I do often keenly feel a sense of incompleteness.

Is it then pointless to compare myself to what a 'real' dragon should be like?

Yes.

Despite our blood, many of my siblings were not considered real dragons by our father. He discarded us, one by one. Or turned us against each othrt.

Such things are meaningless in the end.

I would, at the least, like to continue thinking of myself as a dragon. Even if there are no other dragons precisely like me, it feels too lonely to be a singular existence.
